Committee Charge

The purpose of the Archives and History Committee is to collect and maintain documents of the organization and to archive all information that is pertinent to the Intermediaries & Reinsurance Underwriters Association.

  1. Collect information/documents/artifacts identified as essential to retain related to IRU's organizational history in order to insure a comprehensive collection.
      a. Identified materials that are available and additional materials needed to insure a comprehensive collection.
      b. Generate list of materials that identified persons would be willing to donate to the Archives.
      c. Identify gaps in materials and seek, from the general membership, materials to fill the gaps.
      d. Materials are to be mailed to the Archives and History Committee Chair or a committee member designated by the chair who will assume responsibility for getting materials to the Archives.
      e. Develop strategy to conduct oral histories and make assignments to begin process.

  2. Make available to the membership a listing of all items/documents in the Archives related to IRU.

  3. List to be made available through IRU Website.
