• To identify and recommend to the IRU Executive Committee candidates for awards.
• Recommend to the IRU Board, by February 1 of each year, at least one candidate for the Dr. George D. Young Award, the Roy G. Nelson Memorial Award and any candidates for honorary memberships.
• Determine need for additional awards and develop criteria for additional awards.

Criteria for Consideration

• Contribution to the advancement of intermediary-sourced reinsurance business.
• Respect of peers.
• Exercise of unquestioned moral and ethical conduct.
• Technical, administrative or managerial excellence.
