The locations of Spring and Fall conferences are approved from a list of several locations submitted by the Executive Director to the Board of Directors. Due to the demand for choice locations, selection and approval of sites shall be made at least 3 or more years in advance.

The Program Chairperson and members of his/her committee work closely with the Executive Director in planning the staging of the conferences. Once the Committee Chairperson has determined the nature of the program to be presented, provided complete speaker contact information, topic titles and topic summaries to the Executive Director, the IRU office will follow-up with all speakers and prepare all publicity materials for mailing to the membership.

The Program Chairperson and members of his/her committee are responsible for the actual conduct of the meeting based on information furnished the Committee by the Executive Director.

Committee Charge

1. Determine subjects of topical interest to the Association membership.
   
2. Solicit speakers to present suitable subjects before the membership at regular and special meetings.
   
3. Formulate program agenda and make timely confirmation of same to the President and Executive Director.
