The Intermediaries and Reinsurance Underwriter's Association (IRU) is proud to announce the return of the CT Area Reinsurance Bowling Tournament previously organized by ACE Tempest Re and Towers Perrin. The IRU's mission focuses on providing educational and networking opportunities to member companies and actuating programs designed to promote a positive image of the reinsurance industry. We hope this event will encourage healthy competition among our industry's best reinsurers and brokers. You and your colleagues are invited to participate in the First Annual IRU Reinsurance Bowling Tournament to take place on Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 at 3:00pm at the AMF Rip Van Winkle Lanes in Norwalk, CT. We have opened up the Tournament to all reinsurers and brokers (IRU members and non-members). The format will be as follows: Each team will consist of four players and each company may enter as many teams as they wish. However, players must be employed by the participating company. Each team will bowl two complete games and the team with the highest total team score for two games will be the winner. The entry fee will be $300.00 per team entered and can be paid by check or credit card. If sending a check please make payable to IRU, Inc., and send it to: IRU, Inc., 971 US Route 202 North, Branchburg, NJ 08876. This amount will cover the cost of bowling and the reception. The reception afterwards will include refreshments and hors d'oeuvres available from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Sono Brewhouse in South Norwalk. A trophy will be presented to the winning team at 6:30pm. Additional details will follow once we have a list of teams. In the meantime, we look forward to hearing from you as to whether your company would be interested in participating.
